End-of-the-Year Wedding Celebration at Niagara-On-The-Lake's Ravine Estate Winery
Great wine, food and the people are three things that Junilo and I cherish about life here in Niagara. The cultured, yet down-to-earth mentality of many here makes the region incredibly unique and refreshing to experience. Last July while celebrating our own anniversary in Niagara-on-the-Lake, we met Lindsay, Niagara’s well known Wine Blogger (@thejuststripe) and Maker. It was her friendly smile and gorgeous new engagement ring that got us chatting! She told us of her end-of-the-year wedding bash plans with her boyfriend (now fiancé) of five years, Craig. Having worked in the vines of Alsace, France and a natural love of everything wine made getting married in France a natural first choice; however after considering logistics and wanting to include as many friends as possible, they settled on the famous Ravine Vineyard as their wedding venue! With it booked and with the guest list planned, Lindsay started the huge task of planning a very memorable wedding celebration. We loved her wedding style vision as soon as we heard her plans; modern chic while keeping details minimal and elegant (totally our style !!)
Making their wedding day meaningful was their top priority; foregoing wedding tradition and opting for what felt right. Craig chose his sister and best friend as his Best Woman and Man (can we just add that their shared speech was one of the best speeches we have ever heard!) and Lindsay had her sister as her Maid of Honour (such a style icon!). Their wedding party chose what they wanted to wear in keeping with the black-tie, modern chic theme. Instead of a traditional speech to thank her new husband, Lindsay meaningfully sang to him. Her incredible vocals evoked pure emotion and love; it made for very few dry eyes in the room! After the sweet moments of Lindsay and her dad and Craig and his mom dancing, the dance floor was lit with their guests!
Everything about Lindsay and Craig’s day was so thoughtful. From their first look to their families’ eloquent speeches and expressions of well wishes and love, Junilo and I loved every aspect of the day. These two are special people and we wish them all the happiness they deserve in the years to come!
