Celebratory Niagara-on-the-Lake Destination Wedding at The Hare Wine Co.

There are people in life who you meet once and feel as if you’ve known them all your life. Leslie and Cordt are just those kind of people. Genuine, all heart and full of life; these two made us fall in love with them instantly! Their story is as if it were from a book; being from Pennsylvania and the GTA, their worlds collided while doing something they both loved: playing volleyball! One U.S. tournament was all it took for these two to begin the sweetest of love stories :)

Being from two different countries, living in Chicago and having family all over the Mid-West USA and here in Ontario made ‘wedding logistics’ a bit more involved than for most weddings. As they thought about the different options of where to get married, they kept going back to Niagara-on-the-Lake! It seemed to make the most sense; their friends and family could celebrate a wedding weekend of wine tasting, incredible gastronomy and being tourists! With the help of Leslie’s mom & best friend on this side of the border, they began planning their wedding at the gorgeous Hare Wine Co. with an amazing team of wedding professionals from the GTA and Niagara regions.

Reflecting on the day, it really stood out to Junilo and I that even with the room full of people Leslie and Cordt made every single person feel welcome and loved. From stealing a bit of time to have a few quiet moments with their best buddies to making sure they had a photo with each group of friends from important stages in their lives, they showed their genuine love for every guest. Friendship and love was evident from the evening’s collection of cheers, laughs and joyous celebrating!

Just as the night was getting started the dance floor cleared for an EPIC Footloose dance by the new bride and groom; it was as if Kevin Bacon and Lori Singer were transported to 2019! It had their friends cheering for more!

We finished the night with Smoke’s Poutine and huge silly smiles on our faces for days like Leslie and Cordt’s.
